Art has always been important to me and a big part of my life. Art can be a way to express emotions, record a time in history, tell a story, strike an emotion, enhance life and so much more. While growing up, I enjoyed working on creative projects - often drawing and painting at home and even bringing my supplies with me while visiting family and friends or attending events. I was likely one of the only students in my class who enjoyed the class field trips to the art museum. My parents, siblings and entire family, have all been supportive of my artistic passion. I was fortunate to have many talented art teachers. I studied fine art at Mercyhurst College during my first year of college and finished my studies at Ursuline College with a Bachelor of Fine Art and an extra year of study in Graphic Design. I truly found my artistic mark and style in college. After graduating, my dad asked if I wanted to start my own business. Knowing I needed more professional experience, I waited for the right time. After gaining 8 years of experience working as a graphic designer at a corporate company and at a non-profit organization and occasionally working on small fine art projects during this time, I felt ready to start my own small business. I look forward to many future art projects, helping others and always learning and growing artistically.

Hi, I am Lisa and the proud owner of Sighthound Art Studio. I have always had a passion for nature, art and sports. Spending time with family and friends is quite important to me as well. In addition to completing Graphic Design projects, I have recently developed an interest in digital drawing. Home portraits and animal portraits have been my focus but I plan to explore other subjects as well. I also enjoy looking for great nature photo opportunities.
